The makings of a b-movie classic
CobraMist11 July 2020
Good b-movies often have a level of energy and passion that is missing from mainstream cinema. These movies are made by people who might lack some skill but they make up for it in unique ideas as well as a high level of passion for the final product. This is one such movie. The movie starts with a violent gun fight where almost no context is given. It then proceeds to an icy drug deal featuring a man whose arm has been replaced with a switch-blade sporting prosthectic. Then we watch as a honeymoon is interrupted by thugs who drag the groom behind their car before beating him up further and setting him on fire. That's just the beginning of the movie as the craziness continues: there are fake faces (ala Mission Impossible), eye gouging, brothel fights, lazy policing, ninja school, memorable characters (both good and bad), and so much more. It's a shame that this movie has seemingly fallen into near total obscurity as this really has the makings of a b-movie classic. If you can find a copy you should check it out, English dub preferred but you are still in for a treat no matter the language options.
