Kippur (2000)

Goofs

Kippur

Edit

Factual errors

Moshe Dayan did NOT lose his eye in the Sinai Desert; he lost it in Vichy-controlled Lebanon in 1941 on a reconnaissance mission on behalf of the Australian/British Army.
The Golan Heights in the movie are green, indicating that it was filmed in springtime. The war itself was fought in October, when the heights were barren.
The Syrians did not press the Golan Heights until the Egyptians were fully engaged but the radio announcement only refers to the surprise attack by the Syrians. Moshe Dayan was already in the Sinai (he lost his eye there) when the downed helicopter pilot says he's been asked to fly him to the front.

Anachronisms

One of the wounded soldiers is wearing a Casio digital watch. The film is set in 1973 but these watches were not made until the early 1980s.
