When Vic and Red Line land on the roof to deliver the drugs, they use normal 9-cell skydiving parachutes. When they leap from the building they use 7-cell B.A.S.E canopies.
On one of Vic's first team jumps, Redline can be seen in freefall with a radio attached to his chest strap. Moments later, under canopy, the radio is missing.
When Vic is learning to skydive, they show him freeflying and doing canopy relative work, all of which are skydiving disciplines that required hundreds of jumps to master; an instructor would never have a student with only several jumps attempt any of these maneuvers.
