Beautifully weird
joellammeretz4 January 2021
In this short film, Rohmer manages to recreate Edgar A. Poe's story for the cinema. The way the film tries to take a close-up of the feelings of the characters in the movie is splendit. The details of the story are worked out great for a short film like this. The voice-over is soothing, but sometimes scary. The images are life-loving but disturbing. All in all, a very nice short film.
