Kathy Bates, Victor Garber, and Alicia Morton in Annie (1999)

Goofs

Annie

Edit

Continuity

The location of McGillicutty's Tavern moves. As the truck drives away with Annie in the laundry, it shows the tavern as being down the road to the right of the orphanage, whereas at the end of "Easy Street" when Rooster, Miss Hannigan, and Lily dance down the road and into the tavern, it is to the left of the orphanage.
When the orphans are singing "You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile" they back up towards Miss Hannigan's desk, but during the next shot, they are closer to the staircase in a big open area.
The whiskey bottle that Lily lifts off the table jumps from her hand back to the table (with the top on), then back to Lily's hand (with the cap unscrewed again).
When Agatha, Rooster, and Lily St. Regis are singing "Easy Street", in the road, we see Agatha beat her fuzzy rope on the road, and we notice a very large piece of the rope falls into the street, and in the next camera change, the little fuzz piece isn't there anymore and was probably picked up by a crew member.
When Rooster and Lily enter as Annie's parents, Lily sits on the front of Miss Hannigan's desk. When the shot switches to Miss Hannigan's face we can see the edge of the desk, but Lily is gone. When the shot switches back to behind the desk, Lily reappears.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

After "It's the Hard Knock Life" Mr. Bundles holds out the clean sheets for the girls to take. Molly does not actually take the clean sheet from him; she just places her hand on the stack.

This is incorrectly regarded as a goof because Molly shares a bed with Annie. Before the hard knock life number, you can see that there are two pillows on Annie's bed.

Anachronisms

Audio/visual unsynchronised

Before the Christmas party, Mr. Warbucks and Annie are singing and dancing "I Don't Need Anything But You". When Annie's lips move as she sings her line, no sound comes out.

Character error

When Mr bundles comes to give the orphans fresh sheets, they line up. Molly the orphan is at the front of the line, she then goes to grab a sheet and misses. Leaving Annie to be the first child to get a clean sheet.
