Drier than Death Valley...
planktonrules10 April 2011
In the late 1970s, veteran animators Norman McLaren and Grant Munro made a series of five educational films about movement and the animator. Why these were made, I am not certain. What I do know is that the average viewer would probably rather have a toothache than watch them--though for students of animation they probably would be of great interest...well, at least of SOME interest. The problem is that the style and narration are incredibly dull...dull, dull, dull, dull.

This second film is about acceleration--meaning speeding up or down movement. Learning about the various rates of acceleration isn't exactly a topic to cause the viewer to explode with delight although it could have been infused with SOME energy...which it wasn't. I don't think after watching the first two that I can watch the final three in the series--they are that dull. Technically well made but awful.
