When Sharon Golban is at the airport to pick up Father Matt Gutierrez, she leaves the keys in the ignition. When she returns, she takes her keys from her pocket.
When Matt Guttierez comes and sees Father Lavelle in the convent where he has found refuge, the building has two levels but Matt run more than two floors up. Nevertheless, this is the same building in both of the scenes.
When Matt goes to visit Father Lavelle, Father Lavelle refers to Mark 18:21. Mark only has 16 chapters. Then later he refers to Mark 13:21.
The first time, Matt Guttierez enters the tomb, he tells Sharon Golban the references of the narratives of the resurrection in the Gospel : "Matthew 27, Mark 15 and Luke 23". Actually, they are read in Matthew 28, Mark 16 and Luke 24.
When Sharon leaves Matt where he is supposed to stay in Jerusalem, we can see a sign on the wall that reads "Couvent Dominican SAINT-ETIENNE 1884" (i.e. St Stephen's Dominican Convent, 1884). Actually, the brown metallic gate that we can see opens to the Franciscan Convent of Dominus Flevit (cf. the small sign on the right at the end of the shot). There is a Dominican Convent in Jerusalem called Saint-Etienne but close to Damascus Gate and not on the Mount of Olives, as shown in the movie.
After Sharon's kids are kidnapped by Nasir, the vehicle is seen driving through the Judean desert which is south - east of Jerusalem. However, Abu Yusef's hiding place is actually located about 60km to the north west, at a site called Migdal Afek, near the town of Rosh Ha-Ayn in the center of Israel (surrounding towns can be glimpsed in a few shots).
The last inscription clarified that the skeleton was of someone named David, and not of Christ. But it is not clear why some parents would bury their son in that cave structure like that, and not like the proper Christian ritual - in a coffin laid down in a dug grave in a designated graveyard. All other facts pointed out that the skeleton was of Christ himself, except that inscription. Seems the director chickened out in the last scene to declare that the skeleton was indeed of Christ.
At one point Matt is said to be a "priest from America". Later he recalls fighting in the revolution in his country.
