The Chinese are good, the Japanese are bad, nothing else matters

I found this Golden Harvest movie on a VCD. It was on my wanted list because of Sammo Hung listed as the action director. Other than Sammo the only recognizable name is actor Lau Wing. The story is based on the simple concept that the Japanese are the bad guys and the Chinese are the good guys. That concept has fueled hundreds of martial arts movies. The flame has never burned dimmer than here. There is nothing in the way of character or story to differentiate beyond that black and white. Despite the great Sammo Hung as action director, the fights of the entire first half of the movie are simple beatings where the Japanese can't take the standard three blows before dropping. Overall I can only rate this as just below average for the year and genre and definitely only for the most hard core fans of martial arts movies.
