Director Matthew Giaquinto, while making this movie, was a (staff) Documentary Producer for AMC American Movie Classics. With an office in central Long Island, on Friday nights, Giaquinto would wait until the office had emptied out, he would then back up his truck and load up with as much equipment as possible. He would then drive several hours to North New Jersey, film all weekend, and on Monday morning, he would return all of the equipment before anyone else came in.
Special Effects Producer, Fred Kramer would continue on in the business, most recently working on John Wick 3. Make Up Producer, Paul Mason worked on MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch, creating the model for Marlyn Manson.
Since everyone had day jobs, this movie was shot on location, every weekend from Friday night to Sunday night, for eight months.
Bob Dorian, who was the voice on the tape recorder in the original Evil Dead, appears as the head of the GVC - one world government.
Shortly after the film's release, Director Matthew Giaquinto was nominated for an Emmy for series of interstitial documentaries done for AMC, American Movie Classics, hosted by Nick Clooney (father of George Clooney). This was the first ever Emmey nomination for AMC as a network.
