Typical B Western
malcolmgsw25 July 2010
This western was recently shown on a satellite channel. It was typical in every way of its era.The Lone Marshall stalking his prey played with the stoicism and woodenness beloved of Western stars of the day,you only have to think of William S Hart and Gary Cooper to get the picture.A villain so nasty that he had to grin and laugh before he launched into action,no subtle Basil Rathbone here.A winsome heroine in danger and a bewhiskered comedy stooge who would link up with the hero.Throw in some chases poorly orchestrated fist fights lots of stunts and lots of gunslinging and you have all of the ingredients.Basically if you love old Westerns like i do then this is a treasured hour, but if you think that they are corny well this is definitely not for you.
