If being a stepfather means squishing the son, then Leon Errol is all for it.

Warning: Spoilers
That's Bennie Bartlett ("Butch" of the Bowery Boys series') as Vivien Oakland's son who becomes the latest foil to Leon Errol who is going on his honeymoon, hoping to be alone with Oakland but finding a third wheel that he'd love to roll down a steep hill along the way. Hilarity ensues as he tries to get Bartlett settled in his berth, and oddly, the kid requests that his stepfather sleep there with him, obviously to start to make life miserable for him. This military school brat certainly deserves a dishonorable discharge for his behavior from the family, especially since everybody aboard the train is not going to get a good night's sleep with them around.

It's nice to see an entry in the Errol series where he isn't having marital problems (although with a kid like Bartlett, those are bound to arise), and having Leon playing a child psychology expert does add a bit of humor as you get to see him go from attempting to be understanding to refuting everything he's ever believed about how to deal with difficult children. Of course, the characters are basically one-dimensional but there are several very funny moments that makes this an enjoyable two reeler.
