Film director Ken Loach has launched a public attack on his movie star pal Robert Carlyle - accidentally. Loach, 64, last week knocked people who accept honours from Britain's Queen Elizabeth - he turned down an Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 70s. Loach made the comments without realising Carlyle accepted an honour two years ago. Loach said, "You tend to think less of people who accept these things. You wonder why they need them. I don't think anybody with any self-respect can go and curtsey to Her Majesty." When it was pointed out to him that Carlyle, who got his first big break in Loach's 1990 movie Riff Raff (2000), was more than happy to scoop a gong Loach said, "Has Bobby got one? Oh, bloody hell. Well Bobby's an honourable exception, he's a good friend."...
