Title Animal attraction
jazzjunkie19 April 2003
I have started watching stephanee lafleur movies. I think this one is not bad. it has a half way believable plot about the wife that is wanting more from her marriage. It moves right along as you would expect and is good for late night viewing. I think it is worth a check if you are looking for this type of movie.

Animal Attraction
allmoviesfan4 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Animal Attraction aka Insatiable Wives is a middle-of-the-road softcore 90's film that stars the very attractive Stephanee LaFleur as Donna, a wife unsatisfied by her marriage to bar owner Tom. After a conversation at a party with her friends, Donna wakes up the next morning in bed with one of her friends' husbands, getting to experience life with a different man, and - as should be expected - lots of sex, some of which is very good. Meanwhile, Tom is enjoying his life in that same dream world with her best friends. In the end, Donna wakes up back in Tom's bed and could not be happier, having seen that the life she wished for with another man wasn't quite what she expected. Nothing ground-breaking here, and the acting leaves a lot to be desired - on the lower end of the scale, even for these softcore movies - but plenty of gorgeous women behaving badly make up for that.

An homage to "It's A Wonderful Life"
BlackJack_B9 November 2000
This film is typical of your usual made for video soft-core sex films but it has some content that makes it a must-see. I saw this one on our cable movie channel and they show the unrated versions of these films.

The film is about your typical sexpot who's unhappy with her marriage because she isn't getting enough. She's very envious of her friend's marriages and thinks she'd be happier married to one of their husbands, who are good friends with her hubby. She gets drunk at the party and ends up having a dream where she sees what life would be like if she was married to each of the other guys.

This film scores high points for me with some of the scenes you'll see and they aren't in the love scenes. Seeing the grown women giggling like teenagers when sharing dreams and gossip with each other, seeing a different reaction to the scene where Donna (Stephanee LaFleur) runs a red light during each dream or the facial expressions that LaFleur makes during a striptease done at a bar her real husband owns are memorable. If you want to see a Gwen Stefani lookalike in a love scene that's there too.

Granted, the acting is poor. LaFleur delivers an annoying, glib performance but her facial reactions and gorgeous assets take much of the sting away. The real star is Ahmo Hight, who burns up the screen in almost every scene she's in; she delivers a superb striptease/lap- dance later in the film. The men are the typical MFV hunks. Still, it's better done than the usual stuff. It's hilarious at times, too. I think both versions (R-Rated and Unrated) should be good. Check it out.

If Rod Serling were a stupid sex pervert...
MBunge23 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Insatiable Wives is like an episode of The Twilight Zone…if Rod Serling had been both very dumb and very horny. Reality shifts, people get naked and the whole thing is just an embarrassment to everyone involved.

It's important to distinguish between what this film is meant to do and what it actually does. This is supposed to be a story about a woman who's sexually frustrated with her workaholic husband and magically swaps places with her friends and bangs their spouses. While satisfying her sexual fantasies, the woman is also supposed to learn to better appreciate her husband by seeing him having a better life with the friends she's switched places with. That's what it is supposed to do. It doesn't actually do that, but that's the intent.

What Insatiable Wives really offers up is a string of unimaginative love scenes, atrocious plotting, wooden performances and dialog that is so tedious it all sounds like grown ups in a Charlie Brown cartoon - "wha-wha-wha, wha-wha-wha-wha, wha wha". Here are the three things that define this movie.

1. Lead actress Stephanie LaFleur is pretty, has a nice body and can act. 2. The 4 lead actors all look and perform like they were male model rejects from the J.C. Penny catalog. 3. This film puts this "bore" in boring because watching it will put you into such a deep coma, by the time it's halfway done someone could drill a hole into your skull and you'd never notice.

Insatiable Wives is the kind of dreck that no one except pitiable reviewers like me ever watch all the way through. Normal people and perverts would bail on it shortly after the first sex scene. I will never get back the brain cells that died sitting through the next 70+ minutes of this trash but that is the sacrifice I'm willing to make for you. Just call me the Mother Theresa of crap cinema.
