Much of the film seems to have been made in Singapore. However it is a B feature and very much made on the cheap. We do not see the actual plane crash or the crashed plane on the ground. The radio inconveniently packs up. When a rescue plane is sighted Patrick Allen lights a fire and waves a white shirt to attract attention.
