Margot Fontane (Suzy Prim) is a selfish self-centered capricious actress.Alexis(André Luguet, also screenplay) is a former war hero and a fallen pilot since he could not fly from Paris to Tokio (written with an i);when they meet ,she looks down on this taxi driver(you have to eat!) .But much to the romantic male lead's displeasure,he's hired as an actor ,and although he finds it hard to remember his lines (no cue cards),he soon becomes indispensable and the haughty star changes her mind ,by listening to his lessons in moral ("I was a pilot ,I started my career at the top,and I worked my way down ").But during the shooting of an insipid movie,Alexis, the gentleman- chauffeur has not given up on his dream....

The screenplay is rather thin, and the lack of means is obvious when the plane lands on "Japan" where a handful of people wave their flag;but it's interesting to enter a studio circa 1938.

Suzy Prim is not really flattered on the poster of the film:see yourself.
