The same trio but migrated in Midi Region (vhs)

So after Come Mi Vuoi, we meet again La Bellucci, Lo Verso and Cassel.. This time, it is about an ex-convict getting out of prison and back to his family and roots but as it's Marseille, it's a very, very strange land: beautiful Mediterranean nature, sun and sea, but high-tension people divided by communities and even more problems as his girlfriend marries his brother while he was away! There is nothing exceptional here especially from Belluci who has already started to stop acting... The only interest come from the real locations, especially the finale in Velodrome, the stadium of the famous soccer team!

Good french gangster movie

Warning: Spoilers
One more little movie totally unknown from the audiences.

I don't understand, because the actors are well known, but perhaps not at the time of the shooting. Except Vincent Cassel and his wife - in actual life - Monica Belluci. Cassel and Belluci were together in DOBERMAN, the famous fierce and hard boiled action packed thriller that every body knows. A cult movie above all the others of this period.

Back to MEDITERRANEES, it a good gangster movie, brutal, well paced and with good characters. No very inventive however. Some "clichés", I admit. It looks like Marty Scorcese's GOOD FELLAS.

It takes place near Marseilles, city of the underworld, mob, trafics of all kinds and also all the charm of the south of France...I can't describe if you don't know it.

The ending is weird. It reminds me the film TROP PETIT MON AMI, starring Jane Birkin and Michael Dunn - the famous WILD WILD WEST Miguelito Loveless.

Again, this is a rare, forgotten and pretty good gangster movie.
