Worst Tech Film of All TIme
arthur_tafero28 October 2018
Amatuer director, Serge Rodnunsky made an unintentional comedy, that is really not that funny. This is the worst tech film I have ever seen. I am sure Brian Dennehy must have been embarrassed when he saw the final product, as were Robert Guillaume and Brad Dourif. The premise could have been interesting in the hands of a professional director, but this film is flatter than a pancake. A guy with a high-priced hooker girlfriend .and a SUBARU? Please. The film had the look of being completed in a week. Save your time.

Serge Rodnunsky should never be allowed to make a film again!

I saw this truly terrible TV movie on Polish telly last night. What were the likes of Brian Dennehy, Robert Guillaume, Brad Dourif thinking to participate in this appalling mess? Maybe they were offered nice cheques, I hope so!

Director/Editor/Writer Serge Rodnunsky shows he really he has no idea how to:

A: Write a plausible script.

B: Edit a film to build tension

C: Direct actors.

This film has amateur night written all over it. A true waste of my time and anyone's else time. AVOID!

Skip this movie!

Silicon Towers is a movie that is a waste of money. Man, I've never even seen a worse movie than that movie. It's just another one of those computer-hacker-saves-the-world-and-bad-guys-get-punished movie. In some point in the movie you get to see some of the source code of the program that the protagonist has made and it turns out he's not programming in C++ or JAVA but in... HTML! Man , nobody can write a hacking program using HTML. No, go out an rent one of the good movies...

I've seen better student films

This film is predictable and stupid. It looks like it was made in 1982 even though it was made in 1999. The acting is bad, the music is annoying. I didn't care about any of the characters and I kept hoping the wife "Linda" would die because she was a bad actress and her character made no sense.

The cutting of the movie was distracting and was obviously trying to hide the fact that there was no budget.

To paraphrase Homer Simpson...

This was the suckiest 87 minutes of my life. I whole-heartedly agree with the rest of the comments here. I've made better movies than this in college, and so did all my classmates. If you're computer literate, you'll be sure to cringe a lot. Typing DIR in a dos prompt and listing the directory is apparently high level hacking. Steer clear of this mega-crap. This made my all-time bottom five movies. Brian Dennehy must have a serious drug or gambling problem if he needs to take these kinds of jobs. I would say even Daniel Baldwin is too classy for this movie, which says a lot. AWFUL acting from the lead and his wife. The "suspense" is just embarrassing. The "action" sequences are so fumbling it's not even laughable, you just squirm in mental discomfort. Serge Rodnunsky, your talent, if existent, lies elsewhere. Stay away from movies. Take Uwe Boll with you.

Washing the car or what ever is even to consider instead of time waste on this movie.

Warning: Spoilers
Silcon Towers is one of the worst movies I ever set my eyes on. Nothing bad to say about the actors efforts but directing and cutting is a disaster. It feels like the movie was made by a group of first year movie making students. The plot is actually grate for a classic crime/action movie and the actors did a fairly good job. My first thought was that the movie was cut by a drunk. While looking I found out that it probably was to save the movie due to bad direction. Save your bucks on this movie. Save your time. There are thousands of other motion pictures to watch instead of this. To take en hour and half time to clean the house, take care of the kitchen, wash the car or what ever is even to consider instead of time waste on this movie.

Don't waste you time ! !

I saw this movie as well. I was out of town on a business trip and had a hard time sleeping. After watching this movie, I had no problem sleeping at all. If you have any computer security experience at all, you'd know in a heartbeat that cracks can't be broken as easily as they were in this movie. If you want an exciting movie about hackers that will keep you on the edge of your seat, go see Anti-Trust ! !

Building Blocks

This not a great movie. The low budget is apparent despit a couple of well known names. However the real star is newcomer Jonathan Quint. I've seen him in 'Boogie Nights' and 'Floating.' This provides another opportunity for him to sharpen his acting teeth. Despite the straight to video release, Quint will be seen much more on the silver screen.
