Rene Bond as Housewife

Diary of a Schizo (1972)

** (out of 4)

I think it's safe to say that the show Desperate Housewives has nothing on Rene Bond. In the film she plays Sarah, a timid housewife who is constantly neglected by her husband. Poor Sarah soon starts to have terrible headaches, which causes her to blackout. At first she just dreams of wild sex but soon after wards she begins hitting the streets looking for any man or woman. This here is pretty much your typical bump and grind flick that would probably be long forgotten had it not featured Bond. There's really nothing too special here as once again we get a "doctor" explaining what "medical" issue this woman has and why she ends up acting out the way she does. I'm not sure if this REEFER MADNESS type of approach was just to make the films appear more educational but I'm sure those watching this in a theater back in 1972 couldn't care what Bond was going through as they just wanted to see her in action. If it's action you want then you're going to get plenty of it here as all 57-minutes have Bond going at it. We get pretty much every possible situation from Bond with a woman, with various men and of course by herself. She certainly doesn't leave anything to the imagination and there's no question she's easy on the eyes but only one of the scenes come off as erotic (kitchen floor). The film does manage to have a couple funny moments including one where Bond has a headache and then comes onto her husband who turns around and gets mad at her!
