Rare and interesting social and political movie.

I am not lucky enough to have seen this movie with subtitles, which were invisible, as the title says. But I am smart enough - at least I hope so - to have got the meaning of this story. It is a social but also a prison riot movie which the hero of this film, a young hoodlum sent behind bars for robbery, is involved in. The riot is pulled by a bunch of revolutionaries. Because, I repeat, this is above all a social movie about the left winged movements that spread in Italy during the seventies and eighties. Good prison riot sequences with the Richard Wagner - Tannhäuser - sound track. I am surprised no one has commented it yet. Brutal scenes during the Police forces assault against the inmates. I am not surprised that Pasquale Squieteri made such a film. Good characterization too. A must see for my own taste, but unfortunately mainly for Italian audiences.
