- Mike McBride, Roy Brown, Hunter Wiley and Derek are Shadow Warriors, a bounty hunter team that also works as black ops team for hire, if someone is in dire need of their help. Mike is an ex-navy seal and a First Gulf War veteran, who lost most of his team, when they got hit by illegal chemical weapons. Roy is the leader of Shadow Warriors, who's trying to keep their operation financially sustainable. Hunter is a kickboxing expert and a mother of a teen daughter. Derek is the team's fixer. They are all both business partners and friends. A young woman asks them for help, when her rich ex husband, who lost the custody battle, kidnaps their daughter and takes her to live with him in Austria. Meanwhile, Mike, who's still suffering from PTSD and involuntary flashbacks involving his dead friends from the war, finds out that Sarkisian, a chemical weapons expert, death merchant and the man behind the chemical attack on his old team, is still alive. Mike goes after Sarkisian alone, but gets caught. Diabolical Sarkisian then poisons Mike with a virus that has no cure and will kill him in less than three days. Sarkisian, who helped Saddam Hussein during the First Gulf War, now wants to take revenge against the US for defeating the side that financed him in the war, so he plans to commit a terrorist attack on the US and his target is Seattle, where Hunter's teen daughter lives. Andy Powers, Shadow Warrior's friend from the military, helps them with locating Mike as well as Sarkisian's "Death Mountain". Now only Shadow Warriors can stop him. Although this movie, Assault on Death Mountain (1999) a.k.a. Shadow Warriors II: Hunt for the Death Merchant, is a sequel to Assault on Devil's Island (1997) a.k.a. Shadow Warriors, some DVD releases mistakenly identify Assault on Death Mountain (1999) as Shadow Warriors, and Assault on Devil's Island (1997) as Shadow Warriors 2 in their title sequences.
