Richard Attenborough, Joan Collins, and Donny Osmond in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999)

Goofs

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Edit

Continuity

When the narrator is eating the drumstick, it flips around between shots.
Near the end of the 'Potiphar' song, Potiphar's wife puts her cigarette into her mouth, then in the next shot, she is seen putting the cigarette into her mouth again.
At the very end of "The Song of the King" Joseph is seen at the top of the steps twice with his hand at his chin and in the next shot with both hands at his side, and again later with his hand at his chin.
In the first two scenes, when the kids are in the school gym, the positions of the children change from shot to shot. Look at first two on the aisle in the first row, stage right: alternates between an older and a younger boy, and a boy and a girl about the same age.
During the Joseph's dream hit, the order the brothers are stood in line on the banister changes between the wide shot and when the close up camera pan's past each of them close upwards.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

During 'The Song of the King' Joseph says "I got the bit about the corn, but I'm not to sure about the cows. So if you could just give it to me one more time, Mr Pharaoh man." Pharaoh then proceeds to sing the verse about the corn again, and not the cows. This is in fact not an error. Pharaoh, an impatient man repeats the last line while Joseph checks for the correct answer in the Bible (held by the Narrator). The same is true for the stage productions.

Revealing mistakes

At the very end of 'One More Angel in Heaven', just after the cartwheel, when they cut to the wide shot for the ending pose you can see Judah and his wife stuck in the middle of a botched cartwheel, and appear to be laughing uncontrollably as they slowly untangle.

Miscellaneous

During "Joseph's Coat", after the children join him, one of the circles of children takes off too quickly and appears broken. Then the next shot, the circle is intact.

Character error

During the Jacob & Sons number when each of the brothers introduce themselves, Levi says his name and accidentally bumps into the Narrator who is clearly caught off guard.
