- La Crim' is a French television series created by Jeffrey Frohner and Martin Brossollet, broadcast from June 11, 1999 to March 31, 2006 on France 2.
A team of cops from the Paris crime squad is investigating at 36, quai des Orfèvres. At the head of the group is Commandant Françoise Galliot, an authoritarian woman who is cold on the outside but fragile in reality. Under her command are Captain Jean-Louis Scandella, her second-in-command and one of her closest friends; Commandant Michel Lemarchand, the Galliot group's procedural officer; Captain Paul Moreau, Scandella's best friend; Lieutenant Alexandre Siskowski, the youngest among the men and also the most sensitive; and Lieutenant Caroline Tessier, a young woman from an aristocratic background and a new recruit.
Over the course of the seasons, the core team will change considerably. Caroline Tessier is murdered after starting a romantic relationship with Scandella. She will be replaced by Lieutenant Fabienne Berger. Then Galliot decided to transfer to central management, so she could devote more time to her nephew and godson, and her soon-to-be-born baby. Replacing her was Commandant Hélène Vallon, a long-standing friend of Scandella's with whom she would later have an affair, but just as they were about to settle down together, Vallon was promoted to Commissaire in Lyon. At the same time, Paulo moves to Bordeaux. Earlier, Berger was replaced by Fred, who in turn was replaced by Florence Bailly.
Other characters will join the ranks of the Crim', including Nina Lefèvre, Anna Louviers and Jeanne Roussel.
