When a boy first flags-down the Route 13 bus it is a Routemaster-type bus, which is probably a normal service bus actually operating on the real Route 13. However, as the bus slows to stop the next shot is of the side of an RT-type bus (probably RT 1668).
The RT-bus is number RT 1668 (registration KXW 314) which was bought by Red Rover Bus Company from London Transport in Nov 1964 and was scrapped in Sep 1968. RT 1668 is the bus that is used for all the scenes where the actors are on a bus.
