The Phenomenon or Hoax?
shadowofdarkness_dro12 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I was really into this phenomenon, so much so that I listened to Art Bell, and made regular inquires about these Rods.

I actually ordered these DVD's from Amazon and also got some other books about the subject. Then I came across this article: Flying Rod mystery solved? In the early autumn of 2005, news bulletins in China and Hong Kong reported on a story which debunked the flying rods. Surveillance cameras in a research facility in Jilin supposedly captured video footage of flying rods identical to those shown in Jose Escamilla's video. The curious research staff of the facility, being scientists, decided that they would attempt to catch one. Huge nets were set up and the same surveillance cameras captured rods flying into the trap. When the nets were inspected, the "rods" were no more than regular moths and other flying insects. Subsequent investigations proved that the appearance of flying rods on video was an optical illusion created by the slower recording speed of the camera (done to save video space). This is the empirical evidence, showing that the "rods" themselves can be captured, and that they do indeed prove to be ordinary animals. - credit: wikipedia

I am not trying to get my money back because I am to be blamed for believing this hoopla, however, I do want to go on record for anyone who is thinking about buying this or any of these DVD's:

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOAX! A FRIEND OF MINE E-MAILED THE GUY THE NEWS ABOUT THIS NEW FINDING AND THE GUY STRAIGHT UP SAID TO HIM AND I QUOTE:

"DUH! WE ARE JUST TRYING TO MAKE MONEY, WE HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THIS WAY BEFORE THOSE SLANTS DID!"

Racist profiling is not appreciated in this day and age and the fact that he is still trying to convince people to buy this, even though knowing all along the truth is wrong.
