I saw this movie and even though I like films with at least some dialogue, I found this short film great. It shows that without a single period (.) at the end of a sentence, the sentence would be incomplete and there would be total chaos. Overall this is a great little short and worth a watch. I gave this movie a 10/10 because I thought it was fun to watch and see how the director filmed his scenes. Well that's probably why young directors don't use dialogue in their shorts, because short films aren't made to show off the characters' acting skills but to show off the director's film-making skills, and the maker of Darkly has some nice camera angles.
