A film story that will appeal to many observers, not alone for its dashing love story, but because it illustrates so well what a sluice is and just how it operates. William Garwood is the hero of the piece, and with the aid of the girl escapes from prison and thence through the sluiceway, which was filled with running water. Something new and attractively pictured. - The Moving Picture World, November 1, 1913
