The last "small" film produced by Village Road Show before it was bought out by Warner Brothers. The script was written by director Richard Rush's son, Tony and was co-produced by the Austrailian legend Wally Lake, and Argentinian producer Ricardo Freixa.
Paul Rhys would go on to appear in the Huges Brothers' From Hell (2001), another film that deals with the Jack the Ripper murders.
