Early slapstick short from Louis Feuillade involving runaways, except that, instead of it being a runaway horse (see Griffith;s THE CURTAIN POLE for an example), it is a cartful of what appear to be hundred-pound pumpkins that get away, rushing hither and yon, down sewers, up chimneys, pursued by the drayer, a couple of other people and a very unwilling donkey. Very amusing.

Another chase movie, this time from Louis Feuillade and Romeo Bosetti. The runaways are pumpkins from a trolley unhitched from its donkey by a pair of ne'er-do-wells. These pumpkins have the supernatural ability to jump over fences and through open windows, and to climb chimneys. An ok movie, but one of a seemingly endless succession of Chase films made in the early years of narrative cinema. And that donkey really didn't want to play...
