Despite being nearly complete in late 1988 distributors became weary due to the pairing of Dharmendra in an older brother role to Dimple. Dharmendra had completed several films opposite Dimple as a romantic pair such as Batwara. Once Elaan-E-Jung became a hit, Sikka found distributors as Dharmendra became hot property again.
During the film's shooting Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia were doing a jeep scene, the jeeps brakes failed. Jackie Shroff made a quick move and pushed Dimple out of the jeep then jumped out himself.

Jaya Pradha was upset that she was not signed for the film. It was produced by Shrikant Nahata her then boyfriend. But Shrikant's wife put her foot down and demanded that Shrikant no longer work with Jaya Pradha after the film Majaal.
