In one of the final and best Jasper Puppetoons, Scarecrow departs for a Jitterbug dance contest leaving Jasper behind to shine shoes. Out of the blue a heavenly light speaks bestowing Jasper with magic golden shoes which powers him to win the contest. Christopher Lehman, Professor of Ethnic Studies at St. Cloud University, has said "The animation of the dancing is superb. The music sounds as hot as any Jitterbug score could sound."
