Live! In Concert!
gavin69423 July 2013
Piano virtuoso Myra Hess performs Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor, known as the "Appassionata", on stage in a concert hall. Hess performs only the first movement of the sonata.

Well, what do you know? This may be one of the very first live concerts on film... forget the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, we have Myra Hess up close and personal! The pianist supreme (who has a radio show named after her in Chicago of all places) gives it her all.

Not sure how to recommend this one. I guess I have to say it comes down to whether or not you happen to be a fan of Beethoven. If you are, you will love watching Hess' hands fly around the keyboard. If not, this might not be for you.
