Largely composed of old gags done better earlier by other studios, but still enjoyable, if predictable.

Warning: Spoilers
This is a one-shot produced by Famous Studios. There will be spoilers ahead:

This cartoon is interesting in that it really has no plot. It's just a bunch of sight gags collected loosely around a concept-that this is Crazy Town and thing happening here are, well, "crazy"!

About two-thirds of the gags are frequently seen gags in animated shorts, which means that, if you watch many cartoons, they're going to be familiar to you. There are a few relatively novel bits in this one and it is entertaining in its own way.

There's a running gag of sorts involving a man building a house, with some predictable gags along with one or two which are actually relatively creative. Probably the most familiar gag in the short involves a pig who crashes his motorcycle and an ambulance coming on the scene of the accident. You probably already know the punchline, so, in case you don't, I won't spoil it.

This is worth watching at least once.

Though some of the gags here are kind of cute, it's pretty difficult to say that . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . any of them are actually original. A machine that whittles down a giant log to produce a single tooth pick? Been there, done that. Horses riding their jockeys, or monkeys feeding peanuts to people visiting a zoo? Pretty old hat. An octopus sorting mail, and the fire department burning down a house? Ho-hum. You can find the footnote references to the bits mentioned above, along with 17 more blatant derivatives to be found in CRAZY TOWN, in the third edition of CARTOON CONCORDANCE.

Th World Has Gone CRAZY!

This was not particularly funny but it was very clever and thus, interesting to watch. I can't remember any dialog in here, but it wasn't needed.

In "Crazy Town," the pedestrians walk down the middle of the road and the cars are going down the sidewalks. In Crazy Town, weird things are seen, like goldfish driving cars and pigs on motorcycles. One pig gets in a serious accident, the ambulance arrives and the attendants cart away the bike, leaving the victim.

Storks deliver parents to babies. At the train station, the train stays still and the depot leaves! At the racetrack, horses are riding humans....on and on and on. You get the idea. Everything is the opposite and, well, everything is absolutely crazy!

The animation is primitive, but this is pretty cool stuff.
