. . . BUNGLE UNCLE, Loopy the Good Wolf defined the word "avuncular" for the Baby Boom Generation. Loopy tries to be a helpful uncle to everyone he meets, from Little Red Riding Hood to Cinder Ella. Throw in Hansel and Gretel, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, the Little Mermaid, beanstalk Jack's mom, National Velvet, Princess Leah and Scarlet O'Hara, and Loopy has counseled pretty much all of America's most beloved personages in their times of woe and despair. Loopy often intercedes on behalf of damsels in distress, frequently taking beat-downs meant for others. As Cole Porter used to sing, "With an Uncle like Loopy, who could ask for anything more?"
