The redesigned -- and now uncredited -- Puddy the Pup has to contend with a hungry kitten who has snuck into the house in this pleasant Terrytoon.
Paul Terry's staff seems to have redesigned Puddy Pup as an adult -- still marked with one black and one white ear -- and tried to market him as their answer to Pluto Pup in a mixture of canine and anthropomorphic personalities. Then they eased off and used the character model in a series of one-off cartoons in a period in which they were not producing any cartoons with credited stars. That time would end with this cartoon; their next cartoon would star Dinky Duck -- not to be confused with the MGM TOM & Jerry supporting cartoon of a decade later.
The cartoon is a series of decent gags with a sentimental ending. I don't care for that sort of finish, bu it's nicely done.
