Flip the Frog becomes excited by a book called "How to Be a Movie Actor." He magically transforms himself into Charlie Chaplin. Later, as himself, he practices being a screen lover to a store dummy; only she proves to be real and hits him with her umbrella. Flip eventually tries to sneak into a movie studio, but the studio guard is too quick for him. After several attempts, including hiding under a fat pig's large shadow as if it were a blanket, Flip finally gets in, only to have the guard chase him through the lot. Inside, Flip encounters a pair of Laurel and Hardy-like comedians engaged in a pie fight; a mustache-twirling villain and the sheriff who is after him; a pig in sheik's clothing; and a Russian feline seductress.
