A cute little time capsule into the 1960s.

Telstar was a term applied to many communications satellites which have been placed in orbit. Telstar 1 and 2 were able to provide the first satellite-transmitted television broadcasts....and there have been dozens more Telstar satellites. I mention all this because the title to this Art Bartsch directed film mentions this sort of satellite.

When the story begins, a blue alien character named 'Astronut' has removed the Telstar satellite from orbit as it get in his way! When his human friend tells him to put it back, he agrees...but crooks want to steal it and sell it back to the government. Needless to say, the crooks get more than they bargained for as a result!

While the animation for this cartoon is pretty bad (typical of the much more quickly made 1960s cartoons actually), the story is mildly entertaining. Not exactly brilliant but cute.
