This was Mike Horner's forth turn as Harlow, the hardboiled private eye who talked like a throw-back to the 1940s. We first saw Horner in the role for "Who Shaved Aja" in 1989. He returned, just recently, for "Rainwomen 7" and "8." Rick Savage was the first to play Harlow, for writer Markman and director Fox, in 1989's "Who Shaved Trinity Loren," followed by "Unforgivable." Randy Spears and Randy West would also walk in Harlow's gumshoes for various Markman/Fox collaborations over the years. The character was based on Philip Marlow. The tone of the scripts was a tribute to the literary voice of writer Raymond Chandler.
