Christopher Darden Can Act
whpratt130 December 2005
When I noticed that Erika Eleniak was starring in this picture, I knew that I would enjoy seeing her act after she had a hard battle with drugs and booze. Erika was married to a rich dude lawyer who she is accused of killing because she did get involved with a so called Hit Man. This Hit Man acted like a devil on wheels and offered any kind of evil services that you might require. Christopher Darden,(Detective Mingus), ( former prosecutor against O.J. Simpson) did not trust Erika Eleniak and believed she actually killed her husband. There are a great deal of court room scenes and many twists and turns in the story. However, the ending of the film was very surprising and enjoyable.

Money and love make us do strange things

A hard nosed businessman and a lawyer fall for the same woman. When the businessman is murdered the police naturally eye the woman and her attorney as the top suspects. Using a series of flashbacks a plot of shrewd conniving unfolds and the dupes play their parts exactly as planned. I thought the criminal's doings were a little transparent and the ending more than a little predictable but still it was a passable film for a lazy afternoon.

Great Surprise Ending!

It is always good to see lovely Erika! However, worth it to watch this just for the surprise ending; one of the most surprising endings in cinema history! Any of you that will say you knew the ending is a liar! NO WAY!

Guiltier than a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo...

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure what's worse. This truly, utterly, irredeemably lousy film or the fact that I watched it to the bitter end. There is, at least, a degree of car crash voyeurism to be had watching the feeble attempts of actors so wooden one can only suspect it was dry rot making them stagger through the joke of a script like arthritic lab rats. For example, in the courtroom scenes, the judge is one of the most unintentionally funny performances I've ever seen. I assume that the actor got his qualifications from the back of a breakfast cereal box or was just taking the p***.

:::WARNING - SPOILER:::

If you're demented enough to even start watching this ludicrous waste of videotape just make sure you don't miss the very last minute, which guarantees a belly laugh which might marginally compensate for the precious minutes of your life stolen by this movie. In a ghastly, desperate attempt to put the film swiftly out of its (and our) misery, there's a Twist In The Tail slapped on the end of the final draft with all the grace and subtlety of a dead dog in a swimming pool. Perhaps one of the producers found a reel of stock footage (of Bavaria, for crying out loud?!?) down the back of a chair and thought, "Oh bugger it, that'll do. Nobody will still be watching, anyway..."

There's only one good thing about this film. OK, two good things. And they're both inside Erika Eleniak's sweater. I don't know if this is a spoiler but in case that's all you're watching for, be warned - they stay there.

Boring predictable trash
guilfisher-116 February 2007
This loser is yet another LMN women's rights-type film. We are always subjected to some dumb bimbo going around acting the victim and the male species are made out to be the losers. Sorry I'm one who doesn't think Erika Eleniak is such a hot dame. To me, she's a poor man's Muriel Hemingway. Those eyebrows that grow together for one thing. Too much eye make-up that resembles a raccoon.

In this stupid movie only one I feel sorry for is Barry Bostwick for being forced to make the damn thing. Too good an actor for this trite. Anne DeSalvo as a detective is running around acting serious over a dumb plot. Only saving grace is Locklyn Munro who has a sense of humor about being in this loser. Please, no more Eleniak.
