- AnecdotesRacquel Darrian had a scorching interracial scene for this film cut from Bonnie & Clyde involving the actress and two black dudes playing escapees from a chain-gang. The two unnamed actors became verbally abusive during filming and were also repeatedly warned not to slap Racquel, laugh at her or spit on the Penthouse Pet knockout. The scene was completed despite the actress falting production twice. At her request, the scene was never used. Racquel never performed with black men on-screen again.

Excellent major P.T. project
I cannot review Paul Thomas's 2-part "Bonnie and Clyde" film with any specificity, as its transition from original VHS release in 1993 to DVD reissues saw major re-editing of the project. But it's a quality film nonetheless, well-acted and skilfully directed.
Unlike the more recent trend of porno ripoffs of mainstream hits, laughingly called "porn parodies" to escape litigation over obvious plagiarism, this Ariel Hart-scripted approach to the legendary 20th Century outlaws is not aping of the Arthur Penn classic. Instead we have a lively, indelible set of characters, with the Adult format helping to give other members of the gang and entourage an opportunity to shine as well.
Ashlyn Gere and Randy West carve their own niches in the title roles, while other bits include a fun T.T. Boy take on Strother Martin's classic "a failure to communicate" monologue in "Cool Hand Luke". Derick Lane and Raquel Darian steal the sexual thunder from the leads in their XXX scenes, and Francesca Le is inspired casting playing the wife of Nick East, billed here simply as "Nick E". Mr. Jane Waters deserves kudos for cinematography, in a project shot on film like most of PT's other prestige pictures.
I no longer watch or have access to VHS (or Betamax for that matter), so I saw the first two parts of Bonnie and Clyde on DVDs, a disappointing experience. Part 1, titled "Desperado", ends without much story progression as it is merely halfway toward the duo's infamous tragic end. But the DVD for Part II (unlike the elusive VHS original cut) titled "Outlaws of Love" plays like Part 1 as it is the same footage presented in a different order, plus a three-way featuring T.T. Boy that was evidently taken from the real Part II. It has no ending, no magnificent violent conclusion to the story, so I'm left hanging, wondering a couple of decades later whether I was right to put all my VHS and Beta machines and hundreds of obsolete videos out on the tree lawn for the garbage men to scavenge on their way to the dump.
