After a long streak of bad luck, Thimios, the lively countryman with a heart of gold, finally gets his lucky break. With his pockets crammed with cash after betting on the horse races, Thimios' life takes a turn for the better, unbeknownst to him, however, that his plotting compatriot, Lakis, his partner-in-crime, Tasos, and Zouzou, the beautiful singer who serves as bait, are hell-bent on rinsing him for every penny.
