Industrious carpenter Fanouris Skarvetsos is a good-natured family man struggling to make ends meet. He is also his older sister Katina's last hope to get married. As the conscientious sibling tries his best to cater for the whole family, a miracle happens: Fanouris' successful expatriate brother, John, and his wife, Margaret, arrive in Athens.
