Lasse Pöysti tickled my funny bone

This movie shows a group of Savolax people.Annastiina Piiroinen is the cute main target of three men.Their interest only grows when they hear her father has inherited a few millions from his brother in America.Those three men are Officer Tuomas Kontkanen, Iivo Mutanen and Aapeli Kasurinen.Iivo and Aapeli even start fighting for the girl, but Annastiina likes the officer the most.There's also a sheep on the run.The officer and Heikki Piiparinen, a man who sells liquor, go after the sheep to return it to the Piiroinen household.But so does Iivo, who finds the sheep from the sauna, where the boys left it while they went looking for a horse.That and much more fun stuff you can find in this movie.Rakkaus on Nopeampi Piiroisen Pässiäkin (1950) is directed by Wilho Ilmari and it's a Suomen Filmiteollisuus film.The movie is based on the novel by Tiitus (Ilmari Kivinen).Leena Häkinen and Kullervo Kalske are great in the lead.Lasse Pöysti really steals the show as Heikki Piiparinen.I'm just reading the second part of this great movie man's autobiographies, called Jalat maahan (1991). In this role he really doesn't look like Suomisen Olli, the clean and tidy boy people knew him as in the previous decade.He really deserved the Jussi Award for best supporting actor.The role of Piipariska is played by Rakel Laakso.Kauko Vuorensola plays Iivo Mutanen.Arvo Lehesmaa portrays Simo Piiroinen.Litja Ilmari is his wife.Leo Riuttu plays the part of Aapeli Kasurinen.Uljas Kandolin is Pekka Turunen.Veikko Linna plays Roivas the shoemaker.Kirsti Ortola is Iita Ratilainen.Aarne Laine is Renki.Marja Korhonen is seen as Kestikievarin Piika.Some people of today would call this movie from 50 years back dated.I'm not one of those people.It's a really funny scene where Piiparinen notices the officer and starts running in the forest.He has a bag full of liquor bottles which he hides in the bushes.When Kontkanen finds him he explains how he noticed some bird he started following and then it flew away.It's a romantic scene when Kontkanen asks from Annastiina, who's just been massaged, whether it still hurts her arms and she says "a little" with that soft voice of hers.I really liked this movie.
