Continuity

Every team has the same "bench" players.
When Denslow is telling Coop about plans for a national basketball league, the same guy in the background falls off the roof twice.
The taxi that Jenna Reed and the kids ride in has the same interior as Coop's beetle.
Flipped shot: When Coop is driving to the airport in his Red Beetle, in the external shot just when the singer on the radio sings, "Look out ahead there's a truck changing lanes..." we see that Coop is sitting in the right-hand side of the front of the car.
In the scene where they show Reimer and Coop naked, they show there bare butts, but when Reimer pulls Squeek out of his "bed", Reimer magically has boxers on.

Factual errors

During the first championship game the announcer says Coop has hit for the cycle 7 times, We don't see the scoreboard until after Squeek and Remer hit, but after they both get hits it says 22 hits. For Coop to hit the cycle 7 times would mean 28 hits for him alone
At the end of the movie, we see a US flag with only 48 stars.
Coop is inspired to become a "big sports star" when he catches Reggie Jackson's third home run ball in the World Series. Reggie Jackson's third home run ball was hit into the center field "batter's eye" where no fans are allowed.
When Coop visits India, the cars are driving on the wrong side of the road, and the taxi's steering wheel is on the wrong side. Drivers in India drive on the left side of the road, so the steering wheel should be on the right.
The opening scene when Reggie Jackson hit his 3rd home run of the 1977 World Series is actually the first of the three home runs he hit in that game.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Some of the more outrageous continuity errors (the sudden appearance in Baxter's hands of the parabolic listening device, for instance) are deliberate jokes.

Revealing mistakes

During the Unsolved Mysteries scene with Robert Stack, there is a man just about to sit down and play solitaire, but before he sits down, you can see the cursor on the monitor moving and dragging cards around.
When Coop is listening to the song on the car radio which is strikingly about his own specific situation, the song is in stereo. The radio is shown to be tuned to an AM station, not FM, and any song played through it would be heard in mono.
When Jenna is telling Coop and Remer that her funding has been cut, The LA Riots team are throwing Squeak around in the background. In the last shot, the wire connected to Squeak is visible.
When Squeak is spinning in the whirlpool. After a few spins you can see he is changed to a plastic dummy.
When Remer makes an air-ball, he yawns and looks at his watch. And when Coop asks why everyone is mad at him, Remer's watch is gone.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Doug Remer fights with his best friend, he says he wants a new one, and picks the Squeak who is sleeping in a box in the locker room. However, there's clearly been an adding of sound when Squeak says "Really? Uh... where are we going? The zoo?" since his lips are not moving.
When Squeak is first psyched out, when he is still working for the gas company, right before he releases the ball we hear him say, "huh?" even though his mouth never moves.
Coop is sucking the fat that was liposuctioned out of Marlon Brando's ass while saying "Oh why would I do this?" He cannot possibly be doing both at the same time.
When Ted Denslow introduces himself to Coop and Remer, before he says "Gentlemen", you see his lips say "Excuse me", though you don't hear him say anything.
When Squeak is in the whirlpool after the first Denslow Cup, he starts to spin. After the drain sounds like it has emptied, squeak can still be seen spinning.

Crew or equipment visible

Early in the movie when Coop and Reimer are doing free throws at Britney's party, there is a brief glimpse of the crewmember who retrieves the basketballs on the left side of the screen. He can be seen each time Coop or Reemer make a shot.
At the end of the movie when Reamer squirts milk at Baxter you can clearly see some type of nozzle that reamer is holding in his hands that is squirting the milk.

Character error

When Coop is trying to save Joey after his operation, he tells Remer to set the voltage to 10,000 and then 15,000. However, Remer sets it to 15,000 the first time.
Coop sings "And I should've been gone" to which Remer replies "I thought we said no more Journey Pysch-Outs." This line isn't actually from a Journey song, but "Oh Sherrie" from Steve Perry's solo album Street Talk.
