Very good film about troubled VT lives.

A touching independent film from Vermont. Strong film technique by Jacobson. The connection between mother and daughter is touching, but the supporting plot and dialogue is sometimes lacking. References to the Nearings, Whitman, and Frost seem obvious. Stoical lifestyles are portrayed with candor and honesty. Fantastic performance by Rusty Dewees (as always).

Realistic slice of life.

I think that this film is very artfully crafted. The editing is skillfully done. The characters are realistically portrayed. The music soudtrack is unique and very appropriate to the storyline. A supurb display of acting by George Woodard and Sue Ball.
