An Experience You Can't Forget
Lux, The biography of light, is a very strange trip in a world with his own rules and logic. At the beginning we follow a dog who is the philosof of the story (as stated in a interview by "van der Kooij" at the famous Swiss Movie Program "Delikatessen"). He leads us from the birth of light until the first humans appearance: the light eater and the light lover. The Director and writer of this movie creates a strange world, very difficult to understand, and full of symbols that are open to our interpretation, for example a strange countdown that begins early in the film with numbers made of burning matches that return periodically with different rapresentations. Pretty good settings and beautyful cameras movement done with a budget of "only" 1 Million Swiss Francs.
Concluding a film very hard to appreciate, because of the difficulty to understand, but in my opinion worth to be seen because it tries to tell something new.
