Trivia | Holocaust 2: The Revenge (1980) was shot at different times. After the success of the television miniseries Holocaust (1978), director Angelo Pannacciò dusted off an old film of his entitled Subliminal - A Splendid Day to Die, shot in 1972 and left unreleased due to production problems and lack of funding. The film told the story of a woman with tremendous mental power, gained as a result of Nazi medical experiments she underwent as a child, which she uses to control and push a young girl to kill her former Nazi torturers. Starting from that unreleased material, Pannacciò created new scenes (about half an hour) and prepared a new edit, from which Holocaust 2 was born in 1980. See more » |
