The local radio commentator for the matches is from BBC Radio York, however given Upton's location in West Yorkshire it would be represented either by BBC Radio Leeds, or BBC Radio Sheffield.
The movie is set in Upton, West Yorkshire but at one point the team pass the Humber Bridge near Kingston Upon Hull while travelling from Arthur's house to the local rugby ground. This would be a 100 mile detour but was likely added to the movie as an homage to the original stage play being set in Hull.
At one point the team train on a beach, even though Upton is more than 70 miles from the coast.
