Trucks (1997)

Goofs

Trucks

Edit

Continuity

A female character attacks a truck with an ax, hitting it several times on the body with little effect, and then embeds the ax in the windshield, but then from an opposite camera angle we see a male character rescuing her and the windshield is clearly NOT affected by the ax.
When the first gas station location building explodes and the occupants in the opposite refuge building looking on, the first blown up buliding's flames are shown reflected in their window: next shot, shows the blown up building flamed out, just smouldering: back to the opposite building observers, and their windows still show flame reflections.
In the scene when the toy truck kills the mailman, the blood and guts covering the front of the truck, appears and disappears in the shots.

Revealing mistakes

9 minutes and 45 seconds into the movie when the man gets out of his truck you can see the mechanical linkages/cables used to move the side view mirror especially when the mirror moves.
The electrical substation explodes before the U.S. Army truck hits it.
The stand-in truck for the '47 GMC that gets rammed by the big rig is already heavily damaged before the truck hits it.

Crew or equipment visible

In several shots drivers are visible as the trucks corral the stranded characters inside the truck stop - specifically as they make sharp turns around the fuel pumps.

Plot holes

The power in the area is out, and later the backup generator is shown being destroyed by the trucks. However, the electric gas pumps continue to function for the refueling scenes while the people are using candles and lamps inside.
