Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Victoria Beckham, and Mel B in Spice World (1997)

Goofs

Spice World

Edit

Continuity

In the final scene during their concert, they finish their routine by "freezing" in poses which change between shots.
During the girls' pillow fight, the orange pillow becomes purple when thrown. When the girls have a pillow fight.
Victoria's position in the bed changes twice.
When the girls are in the rotunda in the garden in their robes, Victoria keeps changing position and changing what she is doing with her mobile phone.
In the concert scene at the Albert Hall, after they finish the song with each individual pose, Victoria's back shot has both hands behind her, but once they go to the front shot, her hands are in front with one hand on her hip and the other up high. Once it goes to the back shot again her hands are behind her again.

Factual errors

The largest fish in the world is not the manta ray (23 feet wide). It's the whale shark at 40 feet long.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Emma puts a brown lollipop in her mouth (twice) and takes out a yellow one because the brand has two different sides.
It's explained that the Spice Girls are playing "alternate" versions of themselves. A few depictions/mentions about them are fictional (e.g. their manager Clifford, their origin story in a coffeehouse).
It is believed that mobile phones are not allowed in hospitals. Hospitals do allow mobile phones, as long as they are not being used during appointments.
The Spice Girls are able to change costumes/outfits very quickly, but this is a common cliche' in wacky films.
Apparently, the model of life jacket used is yellow when inflated and orange when deflated.

Revealing mistakes

In the scene where the girls are chatting on a blanket outside the haunted castle, it's obvious that Geri is "discreetly" mouthing others' lines, particularly Emma's.
Immediately after Nicola delivers her baby, she sits right up and holds a clean baby without umbilical cord and with teeth.
When the kids and Victoria fall off the boat, it's clear that the little girl actually jumped off instead of falling.

Miscellaneous

On the board of the girls' schedule behind Clifford in his office on the bus, the word "Competition" is misspelled as "Competion".

Audio/visual unsynchronised

At the beginning of the movie, as the girls are heading to the bus past all the fans, Mel C. is heard to say "What was that you said, Clifford?" but she's in the shot and her mouth is clearly not moving.
When the Spice Girls are in the hospital room with Nicola, talking about what giving birth feels like, Mel B. says "Oh" but her mouth doesn't move.

Crew or equipment visible

Reflected in Clifford's glasses when talking to Greydon about the movie for the first time.

Errors in geography

The girls' manager tells Dennis to go to the Royal Albert Hall. The next scene is them going in the exact wrong direction--but then they miraculously appear at the entrance. They cross Tower Bridge and pass Battersea Power Station, which would mean that they would need to travel right through the center of London to get there.

Boom mic visible

When the Spice Girls are talking to Brayden at the end, the boom mic shadow is visible at the bottom right corner of the screen.

Character error

When Graydon says "two old nuns pull up in a Mini-Metro right in front", the nuns materialize, but they're in a Mini-Minor.
