Marlon Wayans and Kadeem Hardison in The Sixth Man (1997)

Goofs

The Sixth Man

Edit

Continuity

When Kenny is in the locker room, he closes his locker. It is alternately open/closed in subsequent shots.
When Antoine is a kid shooting in the street he is right handed, but when he is an adult he is left handed.
When the ref calls Kenny for a foul in Antoine's last game alive, the same shot of the ref is used to call a charge on Luther in the Kentucky game.
When UW advances to the West Regional in Oakland, Antoine and Kenny are shown talking outside the arena and ultimately begin tussling. The shots of them together are clearly on location, on the bare concrete plaza between the outdoor Oakland Coliseum stadium and the indoor arena. But when Kenny is shown alone, seemingly acting crazy with his ghostly brother not visible, the shot comes from the opposite angle and is obviously from a location shot in the Northwest, with lush greenery behind the opposing cheerleaders warming up on a lawn that is not part of the Coliseum complex.

Factual errors

At the end of the championship game, when the clock is winding down, Kenny Tyler steals the ball with about 5 seconds to go. When they show the shot clock it's on, even though in that situation the shot clock would be off.
During the UCLA game, the play before the alley-oop they call a foul on Kenny Tyler. However the ref signals a charge which is an offensive foul. This means that Washington should've gotten the ball back instead of UCLA shooting two free throws.

Miscellaneous

In the Fresno State game, there are several shots of the players taken from the ground level. The ceiling above is that of the old Hec-Edmunson Pavilion at the University of Washington. At one point you can even read the name Huskies on the scoreboard signs. Then as the game progresses, the ceiling is shown again, and it is that of the arena in California.

Plot holes

In the first Huskie game, a commentator says that the team hasn't won the Pac-10 since 1985. In the second game, another one says that the team hasn't clinched a tournament berth since 1984. Following standard NCAA rules, this cannot be true since a conference winner has an automatic tournament berth.

Character error

Luther Lasalle looks around before he calls Antoine a ball hog, as if by looking around he could tell if an invisible Antoine was there.
